Your smile. Your life.
Dr. Conner always goes the extra mile for the people of Hixon. She is one of the few doctors to offer the option of placing or restoring dental implants.
If your missing teeth are causing embarrassment let our understanding team talk to you about the option of dental implants. We can replace your missing teeth or tooth with strong, secure, long-lasting dental implants.
What is a dental implant?
Dental implants are tooth root stand-ins that are surgically attached to the jawbone. Once secured, a fabricated tooth or crown is fixed securely to the part of the implant that is above the gum line.
Implants look and feel so close to a natural tooth, no one will suspect it is an implant.
Dental implants are permanent and therefore are not removed for eating or cleaning like you would with some dentures or partials.
Why patients rave about dental implants
- Improved appearance
- Long lasting result
- No removal for eating or cleaning required
- Bone preservation
- Help patients speak better
- Look and feel just like a natural tooth
- Improved oral health, as the adjacent teeth, don’t need to be altered in order to place an implant
- Comfortable and convenient
If you are missing teeth, dental implants are a natural-looking way to get your smile back.
If you have had implants placed, but your crowns are damaged or worn and you need them restored—you are in the right place. Dr. Conner can quickly restore your implant with a sameday CEREC crown. Because everything can happen in-office, there is no need for multiple appointments or a bulky temporary restoration.
You can walk out of your appointment with a permanent porcelain crown and get back to living your life without the inconvenience of multiple appointments.
What is the process like?
Dr. Conner will first examine your mouth and make sure you are a healthy candidate for implants. As part of the assessment, she will take a 3-D scan of your mouth, neck and face. The 3-D images allow Dr. Conner to know exactly how much bone is present and if implants can work for you.
If you qualify, you will be scheduled for at least two surgical visits. During your first visit, the root implant will be placed. Utilizing the 3-D images, Dr. Conner can guide the surgical procedure of implant placement with the highest level of precision available today.
For the next few months the implant will bond with the jawbone. Once the implant has healed and bonded with the bone the fabricated tooth will be attached.
If you are worried about the potential cost of implants, as they can be a more expensive procedure up front, please let us know. We are proud to offer our patients an in-office savings plan so you don’t have to choose between other commitments and your dental health. We can help you get the dental care you need at a price you can afford.
